Vietnamese Catholics celebrate Tet

Parishioners and guests filled the hall to play Singing Bingo at Holy Child of Jesus Parish, 2324 W. Chase Ave., during the Tet Festival on Jan 22, 2023. The celebration included food, drinks, music, dancing, games, a lion dance performance and "Lì xì "or lucky money, which is the tradition of distributing a small amount of money in red envelopes as a way of expressing good wishes for the new year.
