In order to better serve the schools of the archdiocese and in concert with the Schools’ Strategic Plan, Cardinal George and school board have decided to focus Superintendent Sister Mary Paul Mc- Caughey’s efforts on academics and catholic identity; and former Associate Superintendent of Operations Tom McGrath has taken responsibility as the chief operations officer for all school operations, including finance, marketing/advancement, planning and school communications.

Both the superintendent and the COO report directly to Cardinal George and the school board.

Sister Mary Paul said, “I welcome Tom McGrath’s energy and expertise. His intense focus on operations for our schools is essential to their long-term health. The Office of Catholic Schools will coordinate to ensure that the local sites are served in a seamless fashion to forward the board’s Strategic Plan for Schools in faith formation, academics, leadership and operations.”

“Having been at the archdiocese for over a year now, I look forward to continuing to advance Cardinal George’s strategic plan, as it relates to strengthening the operations and vitality of our schools,” said McGrath.
