Speaking out for Reform

The Priests for Justice for Immigrants and the Sisters and Brothers of Immigrants held a press conference that day at Federal Plaza in downtown Chicago to announce the delivery of 40,000 postcards to Sen. Mark Kirk and to provide details about a prayer campaign involving dozens of religious congregations and parishes, along with other actions in the Archdiocese of Chicago leading up to the senate vote on bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform legislation.
