Communion and Liberation, a lay ecclesial movement, together with other Catholic lay movements in the Archdiocese of Chicago, held its 9th Annual Way of the Cross through downtown Chicago streets on Good Friday. Cardinal George offered a brief reflection at the beginning of the procession that began in Daley Plaza. Participants stopped at the Chagall Mosaic, Millennium Park, Tribune Tower Plaza and Water Tower Plaza before ending at Holy Name Cathedral in time for the 12:10 p.m. Mass.
