FATHER EDWARD A. ANDREWS, from St. John of God Parish, worked in education, counseling, formation and campus and parish ministry. He served at St. Rita High School; Mendel Catholic High School; St. John Stone Friary; Providence Catholic High School, New Lenox; St. Nicholas of Tolentine Monastery, Olympia Fields; and in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Texas. He now lives in semi-retirement at the Austin Friary, Matteson.

FATHER ROLAND F. FOLLMANN, from St. Philomena Parish, was a teacher and guidance counselor. He served at Mendel Catholic High School; St. Rita High School; Providence Catholic High School, New Lenox; and in Michigan, Oklahoma and Arizona. He now is a counselor at Cascia Hall, Tulsa, Okla.

FATHER JEROME M. HEYMAN, from Immaculate Conception Parish in Waukegan, was a teacher, parish minister, administrator and retreat and mission preacher. He served at St. Rita High School, St. Rita Monastery, St. Rita Parish and in Indiana and Michigan. He is semi-retired at Our Mother of Good Counsel Parish, Homer Glen. BISHOP JOHN C. McNAB was an educator, administrator, pastoral minister and missionary bishop. FATHER JOSEPH G. STOBBS, from St. Raphael Parish, worked in education, counseling, school and congregational administration and parish ministry. FATHER JOHN A. TYMA, from Immaculate Conception B.V.M. Parish, has been an educator and does missionary work. FATHER W. TIMOTHY CUNY, an Evanston native from St. Ignatius Parish, has done parish ministry, vocation work and teaching. FATHER G. JEROME KNIES, from St. Mary Parish in Chicago, has worked in education, province administration and formation. FATHER CASIMIR E. ZIELINSKI has been an educator, psychologist, lecturer, missionary and chaplain. He served at Mount Carmel High School; at the Menard Correctional Center, Chester, Ill.; at Southern Illinois University; in Joliet, Ill.; in Kentucky, Massachusetts and Washington; at U.S. Air Force bases throughout the world; in El Salvador; and for worldwide cruise lines. He lives in retirement in Nokomis, Fla., where he serves at Spirit of Love, Epiphany Cathedral and continues his counseling and cruise chaplaincy.

FATHER ALBERT GLENN JUDY, an Oak Park native, worked in teaching, administration and pastoral ministry. He now is a parochial vicar at St. Ferdinand.

FATHER JAMES RAYMOND MOTI was a teacher, congregational leader, administrator and pastoral minister. He served at Fenwick High School, Oak Park, and in Minnesota and Washington, D.C., where he was a member of the faculty and then president of the Cluster of Independent Theological Schools. He lives in retirement and does limited service at the St. Pius V Priory.

FATHER THOMAS AQUINAS FRANKLIN O'MEARA has been a teacher and a writer. He served at Loyola University Chicago; St. Thomas Aquinas Priory, River Forest; Catholic Theological Union; and in Iowa, Massachusetts, Indiana, Washington, D.C., California and Nigeria. BISHOP HENRY THEOPHILUS HOWANIEC, from St. Casimir Parish, has been a missionary and administrator. He served as a member of the General Curia, Franciscan Friars in Rome and as bishop of Almaty, Kazakhstan. He now is bishop emeritus there.

FATHER CAMILUS JANAS served in pastoral and parochial ministry. He served at St. Issac Jogues, Niles, and in New Jersey and now is a chaplain to the Felician Sisters in Chicago.

FATHER ZACHARY HAYES, a Chicago native, was a lector and professor of theology. He served at the Catholic Theological Union and as dean of studies for the Franciscans in Teutopolis, Ill. He is retired at Blessed Giles Friary, Sherman, Ill.

FATHER ILDEPHONSE SKORUP, a Chicago native, has been a parish priest, teacher and chaplain. He served at St. Francis de Sales High School and parish and in Missouri. He now is a chaplain for the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart, Frankfort, Ill.

FATHER DONALD BLAESER, a Chicago native, has been a teacher, chaplain, confessor, associate director of novices and preacher. FATHER PHIL HOGAN has been a teacher and chaplain. He served at Bridewell and since 1968 has been at Hales Franciscan High School.

BROTHER LEONARD LAWRENCE has done missionary work, maintenance, nursing, outreach ministry and housekeeping. He served at Corpus Christi Friary; in Oak Brook, Teutopolis and Quincy, Ill.; and in Nebraska, Ohio, Indiana, Minnesota and Brazil. FATHER VAUGHN FAYLE has been a professor and associate vocation director. Since 2008 he has been a professor at the Catholic Theological Union and since 2010 has been the associate vocation director for the Sacred Heart Province in Chicago.

FATHER EULOGIO ROSELADA has been a confessor, minister to the Asian community and itinerant preacher. He served at St. Peter and in Missouri and California. He now is a chaplain at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston.

FATHER EDWARD SHEA, a Chicago native, has been a parochial vicar, pastor, formation director and has worked at the Franciscan Vocation Center. He worked at St. Joseph Friary, St. Giles, St. Joseph, St. Joseph Post-Novitiate Friary and in Joliet, Ill. He is a confessor at St. Peter.

FATHER JEROME ESPER was a teacher, theologian, chaplain, bookkeeper, sacristan and local superior. FATHER FELIX ECKERMAN was a missionary and chaplain. He spent 50 years in India doing pastoral work and was a novice master and rector there. He served as a chaplain to the Holy Spirit Adoration Sisters in St. Louis and is retired at the Divine Word Residence, Techny.

FATHER JEROME ZILIAK was a missionary in India doing pastoral ministry, teaching and was a pioneer in agricultural and socio-economic development. He managed the Karpus Adaptive Research Farm and another for more than 30 years. He is retired at the Divine Word Residence, Techny.

65 YEARS

FATHER JOHN DONAGHEY worked in education and administration. He served at the Divine Word Seminary and was provincial superior for nine years; president of Iowa's Divine Word College; special projects director for the SVD Chicago Province; produced an administrative handbook for Fu Jen University, Taiwan; and wrote an administrative and formation handbook for a major seminary in St. Petersburg, Russia. He is retired at the Divine Word Residence, Techny.

BROTHER PATRICK HEGARTY sold Catholic goods to support missionary work and assisted migrants. He was one of the founders of Divine Word greeting cards and traveled abroad selling them; sold The Word Magazine abroad; sold altar wine in the United States; was secretary to the mission secretary for the Pontificio Collegio San Pietro Apostolo and the Society of the Divine Word Generalate in Rome; and worked in the Trenton Diocese helping immigrants. He is retired at the Divine Word Residence, Techny.

FATHER CHARLES SCANLON ministered in education and vocations and was a missionary in the Philippines for more than 40 years. He served at five Divine Word colleges in the Philippines and was vocation director, Midwest, United States. He is retired at the Divine Word Residence, Techny.

FATHER JOHN RODNEY, from St. Elizabeth Parish, worked in pastoral ministry, education and nursing home and hospital chaplaincy. FATHER WILLIAM SEIFERT did pastoral care, administration, formation and missionary work in Papua New Guinea for more than 30 years. He was a staff member at the Melanesian Pastoral Institute and was vicar general, diocesan administrator and episcopal vicar while there. He also is a working anthropologist. He is associate novice director at the Divine Word Residence, Techny.

FATHER ERIC VARGAS worked in Hispanic ministry and education. He was dean of students at Divine Word Seminary in New Jersey and did Hispanic ministry there. He is retired at the Divine Word Residence, Techny.

FATHER DARIUSZ GARBACIAK has worked in pastoral ministry and finance administration. He served as director of Polish ministry at St. Joseph the Worker, Wheeling and St. Margaret Mary, Algonquin, Ill., and was a missionary in Papua New Guinea and in the Ukraine. He is the Chicago province treasurer at the Divine Word Residence, Techny.

FATHER QUANG DUC DINH has worked in formation and vocations, pastoral ministry and administration. He served for eight years as formation director at Divine Word Theologate, Hyde Park and at Iowa's Divine Word College and in California. He is the director of the SVD Associate Program for men who have completed college and are called to a vocation as a brother or priest and rector of the Techny Community.

FATHER PETER DE TA VO has worked in education and Vietnamese ministry in the United States and Canada. SISTER THERESE BANACH, from St. Nicholas of Tolentine, worked in education and as a librarian. She served at St. Anthony, Cicero; St. Norbert, Northbrook; Providence of God; and in New Mexico, Minnesota and Pennsylvania. She is an archivist at the Sisters of St. Casimir motherhouse.

SISTER LUCILLE ANN BANDYK, from Immaculate Conception (44th Street), worked in education and school administration. She served at St. Anthony, Cicero; St. George (Bridgeport); St. Bartholomew, Waukegan; Maria High School and convent for 40 years; and in New Mexico, Michigan and Minnesota. She does prayer ministry and is a motherhouse office assistant.

SISTER JOHANNA MARIE SHAINAUSKAS, from St. George Parish (Bridgeport), worked in elementary and secondary education, school administration and as a secretary and receptionist. SISTER SYLVIA PUCHORAS, from All Saints Parish, was a primary grade teacher and school principal. She served at Nativity BVM; St. Norbert, Northbrook; Sts. Peter and Paul (W. Pullman); in Darien, Ill.; and in Maryland. She is an assistant at the motherhouse and Argentine Appeal coordinator.

SISTER KATHLEEN SMITH, from St. Adrian Parish, was an artist and educator. She served for 20 years at Maria High School; for 15 years at St. Peter and Paul (W. Pullman); at Our Lady of Vilna; St. Anthony, Cicero; and in Ohio, California and Minnesota. She now is an art teacher at Lake Michigan Catholic High and Middle School, St. Joseph, Mich.

She does ministry of prayer at the Seton Residence in Evansville, Ind.

SISTER RENE FISCHER worked in educational administration and nursing. She worked as a nurse, nursing instructor and supervisor at St. Joseph Hospital and School of Nursing and as coordinator of DePaul University’s master’s degree program and had assignments in Missouri, Texas, California, Illinois and Alabama. She does ministry of prayer at the Seton Residence in Evansville, Ind.

SISTER FELICIA MAZZOLA worked in education, school administration and as provincial treasurer and provincial councillor. She served at St. Louise de Marillac High School, Northfield; in LaSalle, Ill.; and in Virginia, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana. She is director of International Project Services in Southfield, Mich.

SISTER DOROTHY OLINGER, from St. Gregory Parish, worked in education and administration at St. Louise de Marillac High School, Northfield, and St. Francis de Sales, Lake Zurich, as well as in Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Wisconsin. She now serves at Catholic Charities in Nashville, Tenn.

SISTER JANE ANN CHERUBIN served in the ministries of education, health care, and social services. She taught and was a nurse in Pittsburgh and for 31 years in Korea. She has served on the General Council of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill, which serves both the United States and Korean provinces of the congregation from the generalate offices located in Chicago, since 2008.

SISTER CONSUELA CHASE worked in education and as a music teacher, organist, tutor, secretary, ESL director, adult literacy teacher, convent building and grounds supervisor, local leader and attendance clerk. She served at St. Raphael; St. Gregory; Josephinum Convent; Mallinckrodt College, SCC Motherhouse and St. Joseph Convent, Wilmette; and in Iowa, Missouri and Minnesota. She is a morning greeter at Josephinum Academy.

SISTER VIRGINIA KUHN, from St. Margaret Mary Parish, worked as a teacher and principal; directress of postulants and aspirants; in local leadership; as an administrator; as a member of the provincial leadership team as “acting” provincial and councilor and publisher of the community magazine, Broken Bread, for 19 years. She served at St. Vincent Home for Children; St. Raphael; St. Gregory High School; at Josephinum Academy; St. Joseph, Sacred Heart Convent and at her community’s motherhouse, Wilmette; and in Westmont, Ill.; Michigan; Minnesota; and Missouri. She is a part-time receptionist and does light duties at Sacred Heart Convent, Wilmette.

SISTER ANNE EILEEN BERKEL, from St. Edward Parish, worked in education and as a librarian, local leader, local treasurer, CCD teacher and parish pastoral worker. SISTER ROSE VIRGINIA EICHMAN was an educator at St. Andrew; St. Angela; St. Mel; in Galesburg, Ill.; and in Indiana, Texas and California. She serves in outreach ministry for Providence Self-Sufficiency Ministry and for Holy Family Parish in the Georgetown and New Albany areas in southern Indiana.

SISTER PATRICIA (ANNA MARIE) GEIS, from St. Mark Parish, was a teacher, principal, development instructor, adult literacy tutor and administrator. She served at Immaculate Conception; St. Agnes; St. Cornelius; St. Columbkille Day Nursery; St. Francis Xavier, Wilmette; Our Lady of Hope, Rosemont; St. Zachary, Des Plaines; Mount St. Joseph School, Lake Zurich; Santa Maria Del Popolo, Mundelein; Divine Savior, Norridge; Providence; Marywood, Evanston; in Bensenville, Joliet and Lockport, Ill.; and in Indiana, California and North Dakota. She ministers as a literacy tutor for School on Wheels, Cicero.

SISTER ELIZABETH (ELLEN ANN) GRANNAN was an educator at St. David, St. Mel-Holy Ghost and in Indiana, Maryland and Missouri. She now does grief counseling and is a volunteer chaplain at St. Paul Retirement, South Bend, Ind.

SISTER MARILYN (VINCENT MARIE) HERBER worked in education, was director of postulants at Maternity BVM Convent and served in Indiana and Maryland. She now ministers as a volunteer at Miracle Place and at Abbie Hunt Bryce Home, Indianapolis, Ind.

SISTER MARY ANN (MARIE ANITA) LEAHY, a Chicago native, worked in teaching, administration and finance and development. She served at Guerin College Prep, River Grove; St. Joseph Province; St. Genevieve; St. Jerome; Sacred Heart of Mary, Rolling Meadows; and in Washington, D.C. and Indiana. She ministers as a catechist at Sts. Peter and Paul, Bradenton, Fla.

SISTER MARY ANN McCAULEY was a teacher and nurse. She served at St. Sylvester; St. Genevieve; St. Thaddeus; Guerin College Prep, River Grove; and in Indiana and North Carolina. She ministers as a volunteer in health care services in Terre Haute and at St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind.

SISTER MARIE ESTHER SIVERTSEN taught at Our Lady of Mercy; Our Lady of Sorrows; Maternity BVM and in Indiana, North Carolina and Massachusetts. She ministers as a staff assistant in archives at St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind.

SISTER ALICE (JULIA THERESE) WALSH dedicated her religious life to teaching. She served at St. Angela; St. Francis Borgia; in Joliet, Ill.; and in Indiana, North Carolina, Massachusetts and Florida. She ministers in outreach services and as a member of the residential services staff at St. Mary-of-the- Woods, Ind.

50 YEARS

SISTER JANE MARIE OSTERHOLT worked in religious education, administration, clinical pastoral education and work as a catechist and author consultant. She served at St. Cyprian, River Grove; St. Luke, River Forest; with Harcourt Religious Publishers; the Joliet Diocese; in Kankakee, Ill.; and in Michigan and Indiana. She now is in transition, having just completed five years as a general officer on her congregation’s leadership team.

SISTER THERESE (TIMOTHY MARY) WHITSETT worked in elementary education. She served at Maternity BVM and in North Dakota, Indiana and Arequipa, Peru. She teaches at St. Philip Neri, Indianapolis.

25 YEARS

SISTER THERESA ANN BOLAND has been a teacher and principal. She served at Providence-St. Mel; St. Angela; St. Anne, Hazel Crest; and in Indiana. She teaches in the Aquin Catholic School Corporation, Freeport, Ill.

Resurrection Sisters

70 YEARS

SISTER CONSTANCE POLEK, from Good Shepherd Parish, taught elementary school for 45 years. She served at St. Mary of the Angels, St. Casimir, St. Bede, Queen of the Rosary and in Florida, New Jersey, Nebraska, Indiana and Vancouver. She is retired at Queen of the Resurrection House of Prayer.

SISTER M. EVELYN GIEMZA worked in health care administration, nursing, education and congregational ministry. She served at Resurrection Medical Center for 30 years, St. Mary of the Angels, Resurrection Academy and in congregational ministry for many years. She lives in retirement at the Provincial Home.

60 YEARS

SISTER M. FLORENCE SCHULTZ worked in health care administration, nursing, senior services and education. She served at St. Mary of the Angels and for 50 combined years at Resurrection Medical Center, Resurrection Nursing and Rehabilitation and Resurrection Health Care Senior Services. She is the local superior at Queen of the Resurrection House of Prayer.

SISTER MARIA SCHULTZ worked in elementary education for 30 years and as provincial treasurer and in congregational ministry for 25 years. She served at St. Casimir, St. Thecla and Queen of the Rosary. She now is the local treasurer and does local community ministry.

75 YEARS

SISTER LAURA MIGLIORINI was a nurse and dietician. She served at Villa Scalabrini Nursing Home. She is retired at Our Lady of Fatima Home, Melrose Park.

70 YEARS

SISTER HORTENSIA DACOSTA did missionary work, education, pastoral ministry and catechesis. She served throughout the United States and abroad. She is retired at Our Lady of Fatima Home, Melrose Park.

SISTER BERTILLA SCOLA ministered in education, catechesis, work with immigrants and as a provincial superior. She served in the Chicago archdiocese and in Toronto. She is retired at Our Lady of Fatima Home, Melrose Park.

50 YEARS

SISTER ANETE TONIAL has done formation and social, pastoral and missionary work; administration; government; and education. She now is assisting at the Mother Assunta Center for Women and Children migrants in Tijuana, Mexico.

SISTER ANNE PATRICE MCENTEGART, from Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, was a teacher, school administrator and council member and secretary for her community in Ladysmith, Wis. She served at St. Domitilla, Hillside, and in Minnesota, West Virginia and New Jersey. She now lives in Oak Brook, Ill.
