Dedication of new Marian shrine
Bishop Francis Kane led the dedication of a new Marian Shrine after a Mass of celebration with Cardinal Cupich at St. Catherine Laboure Parish in Glenview on Aug. 20, 2017. This Shrine of The Immaculate Heart of Mary is the first one built in North America under the auspices of Grupo da Imaculada from Fatima, Portugal. These shrines are being built all over the world to help spread the devotion to The Immaculate Heart of Mary, as was requested in the second apparition at Fatima.
