Asian Catholics gather to celebrate faith, devotion to Mary

Cardinal Cupich was the main celebrant of the fourth Asian Community Mass on Sept. 11, 2022, at St. Julie Billiart Parish in Tinley Park. Participants prayed the rosary in English, Korean, Chinese, Malayalam (a language used in India) and Japanese. The Mass, hosted in partnership with the Asian Catholic Initiative of the Archdiocese of Chicago, celebrated the multicultural diversity of the archdiocese and offered Asian Catholics the opportunity to gather with Cardinal Cupich to honor the Virgin Mary who is particularly revered among Asian Catholics.
