Faith of youth energized at Holy Fire

Over 4,000 young people packed the UIC Pavilion for Holy Fire on Oct. 20, 2017. Students in sixth through ninth grades from parish religious education programs and Catholic schools, together with their teachers, catechists, youth ministers, parents, chaperones, and pastors attended the second-annual event. The event is an effort help young people see themselves as witnesses of Christ and members of a young church. The two-day event drew over 8,000 youth. (Karen Callaway/Chicago Catholic)
