Cardinal Cupich leads celebration of cemetery's 100th anniversary

Cardinal Cupich celebrated Memorial Day with a Field Mass on May 29, 2023 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Alsip. The Mass also commemorated the 100th anniversary of the cemetery. The Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Cemeteries hosted its annual field Masses at 20 cemeteries throughout Cook and Lake counties with additional Memorial Day Masses being held at 16 parish cemeteries throughout the archdiocese. Worshippers will pray for peace and honor those who have served this country and remember the fallen.
