Following July 4 shooting, Highland Park parish holds holy hour, procession for peace

In response to the mass shooting at the Fourth of July Parade, Immaculate Conception and St. James Catholic Parish in Highland Park held a bilingual holy hour for peace on July 7, 2022 and walked in procession to downtown Highland Park near the site of the shooting on July 9, 2022. Parishioners prayed the rosary for peace and healing for the victims of the terrible tragedy at the site of the memorials at the end of the procession. (Karen Callaway/Chicago Catholic)
