St. Damian students learn to sign Christmas songs

Fifth graders at St. Damian School in Oak Forest rehearse for their upcoming Nativity concert on Dec. 14, 2020. Since the students can’t sing in music class due to COVID, music director Lynn Kingsbury has been teaching them American Sign Language to perform the songs. The school, whose students have all been learning ASL during music classes, was to record the concert Dec. 18 and make it available on Facebook and the school's website.
