For 33 years, Oak Park parish has held Taizé service for peace

On the first Friday of October in 1992, Ascension Church in Oak Park hosted its first Taizé prayer service. Oct. 4 marked the beginning of the monthly service’s 33rd year in the church, when more than 200 people came together to sing, pray and rest in silence.
