Local events for National Eucharistic Revival underway
The National Eucharistic Revival is in its diocesan phase, so in March, each vicariate will host afternoon or evening prayer services at which the episcopal vicars will offer reflections on the Eucharist.
A eucharistic revival that renews the church
The Catholic bishops of the United States have launched a eucharistic revival over the next three years. Pope Francis has made a singular contribution to that effort with the recent release of his powerful and theologically rich apostolic letter on the liturgical formation of the people of God, “Desiderio Desideravi” (“I have earnestly desired”).
National Eucharistic Revival kicks off in the archdiocese
In 2019, a study by the Pew Research Center reported that only a third of Catholics believe the Eucharist is really the Body and Blood of Christ. In response to that startling report, the U.S. Conference of Catholic has established a National Eucharistic Revival.
Eucharistic preachers seek to inspire the faithful to encounter Jesus
Priests soon will be fanning out to dioceses across the country to inspire deeper reflection on the gift of the Eucharist to the church.
