Pope says it’s ‘grave sin’ to deny God has blessed other Christians

Just as divisions in society grow when wealth is not shared, divisions within Christianity grow when the richness of gifts God has given to one Christian church or community are not recognized and shared, Pope Francis said.

From observation to celebration

From Jan. 18 to 25, Christian churches around the world observe the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. Again we pray for the unity that Jesus wants: “that they may all be one, as you, Father, in me and I in you, may they be one in us, that the world may know that you have sent me” (Jn 17: 21-22).
