The freedom of being sent
On Friday, Nov. 13, the Catholic community in Chicagoland gathered to ordain Fathers Kevin Birmingham, Jeffrey Grob and Robert Lombardo, CFR, as our newest auxiliary bishops. Bishops choose coats of arms
Each bishop has his own coat of arms that bears his episcopal motto — often a quote from Scripture — and symbols that have some personal significance to the man. The designs were created and explained by Father Guy Selvester, a priest of the Diocese of Metuchen, New Jersey.
