Christian hope must move beyond comforting words to real responsibility and structural change to uplift the poor, Pope Leo XIV said in his message for the 2025 World Day of the Poor.

On the Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ, when we reflect on the awesome mystery that the bread and the wine at our liturgies truly become the real presence of Jesus’ body and blood, we should also be attentive to the extraordinary confidence he places in our own ability to work wonders.
