"Theology and Tacos" explores Dia de los Muertos, Halloween

Young adults were treated to food and an examination of Dia de los Muertos and Halloween at "Theology and Tacos," an event for young adults held at the National Museum of Mexican Art, 1852 W.19th St., on Oct. 22, 2018. The event was as part of the archdiocese's Theology on Tap series.

Happy Halloween

We used to have pumpkins for Halloween. Not actual carved pumpkin, though we had those too.

Seasons change

When people ask my favorite season, I usually say fall. Fall in Chicago doesn’t usually have the oppressive heat and humidity of summer, nor the face-freezing cold of winter. The weather tends to be mild, and it’s more reliable than the fickle springs we usually get.

Halloween hunting

My prediction for Halloween this year: You’re going to see a lot of Elsas. A fair number of Annas, too, but Elsa is definitely going to be the queen of the trick-or-treating set.
